American Airlines “Level Up Your Travel Benefits” Promotion (Sign Up By May 23, 2025) – Report Yours!

American Airlines has launched a rather interesting “Level Up Your Travel Benefits” offer that requires sign-up by May 23, 2025.

It seems that you can earn bonus Loyalty Points OR gift a status if you reach a certain number of Loyalty Points by February 28, 2026.

If I earn enough Loyalty Points for Platinum status, I can either choose 50,000 bonus Loyalty Points OR gift AAdvantage Platinum status to someone.

If I choose the 50,000 bonus Loyalty Points, it means that my status would be Platinum Pro (Oneworld Emerald) instead of Platinum (Oneworld Sapphire).

There are likely other variations of this offer, depending on your current status OR how many Loyalty Points you earned last year.

All the Loyalty Points that I earned last year were from the AA’s partnership with Hyatt that allowed you to earn bonus AAdvantage miles for Hyatt stays (this has now ended).

Conclusion

This is an excellent promotion (at least for me) that would allow me to earn Platinum Pro (Oneworld Emerald) by getting enough Loyalty Points for Platinum (my default level with AA due to lifetime status).

I have found AAdvantage miles more worthwhile than Avios (BA/AA/QR) in most instances, and I need to find a new home where to credit paid Oneworld flights now that I am done with BA (and also have their lifetime Gold – Oneworld Emerald).
