Travelex secures five-year contract extension and new store at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

NETHERLANDS. Foreign exchange company Travelex has extended its contract at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol by five years.

The latest agreement, which will widen the partnership to more than 25 years, will see the launch of a new store and two additional ATMs. It will take Travelex’s portfolio at the airport to 11 stores and 50 ATMs.

Travelex first entered Schiphol, which served 66.8 million passengers last year, in 2004 and became the airport’s preferred foreign exchange partner in 2022.

Travellers can use Travelex’s stores to purchase over 50 different foreign currencies or collect pre-ordered cash at a dedicated pick-up desk.

At Schiphol, Travelex is the leading wholesale provider of foreign currency services, supporting over 80% of concessionaires with efficient cash handling solutions.

Travelex facilitates the processing and supply of both foreign currencies and euros, ensuring seamless operations for businesses at Europe’s third-busiest airport.

Travelex Europe Managing Director Leonard Stolk said, “We have had the pleasure of serving millions of travellers at Schiphol over the last 20 years, and we’re delighted to be extending our partnership for another five years.

“Schiphol is one the world’s most prominent international airports, and our store and ATM network means greater ease of access to travel money for customers transiting as well as those ordering online wanting the convenience of collecting at the airport.” ✈
