Haim made their comeback last month with a breezy, R&B-tinged single called ‘Relationships’. They have since followed it up with another song, ‘Everybody’s Trying To Figure Me Out’.

Both tracks are set to appear on the group’s as-yet-unannounced fourth album, which is said to boast a “rock sound”. The forthcoming record will follow on from 2020’s ‘Women In Music Pt. III’.

Haim’s LA gigs next week will come ahead of their scheduled slots at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto. One of their last concerts was a headline set at London’s All Points East in 2023.

During a recent interview, Haim revealed that their new LP would feature an as-yet-uncleared sample of George Michael’s ‘Freedom! ’90’.

The song in question, titled ‘Gone’, serves as the opener to the album, and reportedly captures the feeling of clarity after a break-up. The record will also contain a track called ‘Take Me Back’.

Alana Haim told I-D that the upcoming album was “the closest we’ve ever gotten to how we wanted to sound”, adding that it was a “completely different experience” recording this time around.

Haim once again worked with producer Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire WeekendClairo) on the record. Recalling the process, Danielle explained: “Working with Rostam, in general it’s very quick, kinetic with him, which I really love as an artist. Maybe before, it wasn’t that way, it was kind of a more… longer, searching, laboured situation.”

Meanwhile, frontwoman Danielle Haim has teamed up with Bon Iver on his recent single ‘If Only I Could Wait’.
