Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker is Officially Returning for AHSOKA Season 2

Hayden Christensen has confirmed at Star Wars Celebration that he’s coming back as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka Season 2 to guide his former Padawan through the wilds of a galaxy far, far away.During the Ahsoka panel, Christensen kept things close to the chest, but he did say: "There's not much that I can share, but Anakin will be back for season 2."Reflecting on his live-action return to the Clone Wars era, Christensen shared how meaningful it was to explore that version of Anakin, one fans only ever saw in animation until Dave Filoni’s live-action Ashoka series."It's a very compelling period in Anakin's life that we never really got to see in live-action," he said. "I remember when we were going to do Episode 3, and having conversations with George Lucas about what Anakin was up to between 2 and 3, he was talking to me about the Clone Wars and how he was this great warrior and leader. “I was like, 'That sounds really cool, George.' And then just how well it was presented in the animated world, I was just really excited to get to do that in live-action."The end of Season 1 left us with Ahsoka and Sabine marooned on Peridea, while Anakin, now very much part of the netherworld of the Force, watched over them. It’s a safe bet that his ghostly presence will keep guiding Ahsoka through whatever strange force-heavy journey lies ahead. I’m happy to see that Christensen’s Anakin will be coming back for Ahsoka Season 2 and I’m looking forward to seeing how the character will continue to be explored.
