British Airways Executive Club was enhanced on Tuesday last week with much devalued The Club, significantly raising status requirements.

I noted on Sunday (read more here) that my Finnair flight on March 31 had posted a weird number of New Tier Points when it should have been posted under the old schedule with a conversion, but the awarded Avios looked about right.

You can access BA here.

Here was posted on April 5, 2025:

The transaction was removed on April 8, 2025:

The flight was removed from my account and not correctly posted with the Avios and New Tier Points (1258). It would have earned the same new TPs as BA’s torture express to Cairo.

Status Dashboard:

The old Tier Points (80) are added to my Status Dashboard for 2025 when they counted for the previous membership year.

Conclusion

It was clear that this move to the New Tier Points would be a complete and utter clusterf$#@, given how bad BA’s IT and program management are.

Now, I have to waste my time following up with BA to have this corrected, and in the worst-case scenario, I have to take them to CEDR or MCOL if they otherwise don’t make this right.
