Blackbraid, Lamp of Murmuur & Dödsrit announce North American tour

Blackbraid and Lamp of Murmuur are two of the most exciting newer black metal bands around, and they also share a touring backing band, so it’s a convenient treat that they’re hitting the road together again. They trekked across Europe together last fall with support from Swedish melodic black metal greats Dödsrit, and now that same great three-band bill will team up for a North American tour this coming fall. It marks Dödsrit’s first-ever appearance in the States, and it’ll also be Blackbraid’s first headlining North American tour. Tickets go on sale Friday (5/16) at 10 AM local time. Blackbraid says:

Today I am honored to announce Blackbraid’s first Headlining North American tour! On this warpath we will be joined by our brethren Lamp of Murmuur, The Dreaming Prince of Decadence, and the undying nocturnal will of Dödsrit, their first ever appearance in the states, for nineteen nights of black metal chaos and majesty. Our brothers in arms Gudsforladt will also be joining us for two limited nights in Canadian territory.

The tour includes a Brooklyn stop on September 27 at The Meadows. All dates are listed below.

Blackbraid also recently revealed that their new album Blackbraid III arrives on August 8. Pre-orders are up now, and you can check out the artwork and tracklist below. No music has been released from it yet.
