“You” Season 5 Trailer & Poster Promise An Ending for the Books

Five seasons. One killer story. An ending for the books.

In the final season of “You,” Penn Badgley‘s Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.

Relive the seductions, struggles, and secrets in the series trailer below to prepare for the the last 10 episodes, hitting Netflix on April 24.

“You” centers on Joe, a book-loving hopeless romantic with a penchant for stalking and killing the women he claims to love, as well as anyone who gets in his way. While Joe’s search for The One began in New York, it took him to Los Angeles in Season 2, then to the suffocating suburbs of San Francisco in Season 3, and then to London in Season 4.

Across the pond, Joe was thrown into a 1%-skewering whodunit that forced him finally to accept he’s not a good man — an undeniable truth he avoided for far too long as bodies piled up around him. At the season’s conclusion, Joe returned to the Big Apple with his wealthy partner Kate Galvin and a new lease on life… or so it seems.

Picking up three years later, the new season reveals that Joe hasn’t killed anyone since we last saw him. Instead, he’s been focused on raising Henry, the son he had with his ex-wife, Love, and helping Kate steer the Lockwood Corporation in a more charitable direction. Joe never dreamed he would be part of New York’s elite, and he’s doing everything in his power to protect what he has.

Season 5 sees the return of Charlotte Ritchie as Joe’s wife, with Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews joining the main cast.

Based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes, the show debuted in 2018 from developers Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash”) and Sera Gamble (“The Magicians,” “Supernatural”) for Warner Bros. Television.

Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo have taken over as showrunners from Gamble, who stepped down to focus on other projects after last season.
