YELLOWSTONE Spinoff Being Discussed at CBS With Luke Grimes Returning as Brother Kayce Dutton
Another Yellowstone spinoff is being considered at CBS with actor Luke Grimes returning to play Dutton brother Kayce. The network is in early discussions, and exact plot details are currently under wraps and no deals are believed to be in place at this time. As with Yellowstone, the new show would be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios as opposed to CBS Studios.This would the latest Yellowstone series since the mothership show ended its run in late 2024. It was previously reported that Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly are set to reprise their roles as Rip and Beth in their own series that is currently in the works. Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan has also created the prequels 1883 and 1923, the latter is currently airing its second season. There is also the sister series The Madison starring Michelle Pfeiffer.Grimes originated the role of Kayce Dutton in the first season of Yellowstone, starring in the hit neo-Western throughout its run at Paramount Network. When fans last saw the character, he successfully sold the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch to Thomas Rainwater and the Broken Rock Indian Reservation for the same price his ancestors purchased it for — $1.25 per acre. Kayce retained a small part of the ranch, however, on which to live with his family.
