The Estée Lauder Companies marks Women’s History Month by supporting women-focused initiatives
This Women’s History Month ELC reaffirms its commitment to gender equality, celebrating women’s achievements while championing the next generation of leaders and innovators.

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) is honouring Women’s History Month (March) by reinforcing its commitment to gender equality and celebrating the power of entrepreneurial and innovative women.
As a global company founded by a visionary female entrepreneur, comprised of most mostly women and serving women around the world, gender equality is a core value for ELC.
Strategic partnership with Startup India
Inspired by the legacy of Founder Mrs Estée Lauder, ELC is committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders, creators, entrepreneurs and innovators to drive the beauty industry forward.
In line with this commitment, ELC has teamed up with Startup India, a government initiative designed to foster local innovation and entrepreneurship. This collaboration, made through ELC’s India subsidiary, marks the first-ever alliance between a global beauty company and Startup India.
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade within India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It represents a milestone in ELC’s mission to drive innovation within India’s growing beauty and personal care market.
The partnership integrates Startup India’s national platform and expertise with ELC’s flagship entrepreneurial programme, BEAUTY&YOU India, with the aim of nurturing the next wave of India-focused beauty brands.
Following International Women’s Day (8 March), ELC has further expanded BEAUTY&YOU India to include a new initiative specifically targeting women entrepreneurs. Notably, most applicants for BEAUTY&YOU India over the past three years have been women.
Launched in 2022, BEAUTY&YOU India has supported more than 1,500 applicants from over 150 cities, providing grants, mentorship and industry access to help propel innovative women-led businesses.
