New set photos have emerged from shooting of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” in Favignana, Italy.
The shots showcase four actors filming scenes – a shirtless Matt Damon decked out in a long gray beard, Tom Holland dressed in armor, Zendaya in toga-like dress and braided hairstyle, and Ryan Hurst filming scenes with Holland.
The glimpses have got fans speculating about Zendaya’s role with suggestions ranging from the goddess Athena like the report the other week suggested, or another role such as either Circe or Calypso.
The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, Samantha Morton, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Corey Hawkins, Bill Irwin, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, Nick Tarabay, Jimmy Gonzales, and Maurice Compte.
Filming took place in Morocco last month and then the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece earlier this month, the action now filming in the Aegadian Islands just off the west coast of Sicily.
The film’s script has been written by Nolan and the film will be produced by him along with his wife, Emma Thomas. “The Odyssey” is set to arrive in cinemas on July 17th.
