English Teacher have added a second show at London’s Roundhouse to their list of 2025 headline shows. Find ticket details below.

The first shows were announced in February, and is set to see the Leeds band embark on their biggest UK headline tour to date later this year.

It includes stops in Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds throughout the latter half of November, before initially ending with a final stop at The Roundhouse in London on November 26.

Now, due to the show in the capital selling out completely, Lily Fontaine and co. have added a second night at the venue to the schedule. This will be taking place on November 25 – the night before the previously shared London date and three days after the homecoming show at Leeds’ O2 Academy.

Visit here for tickets, and find an updated list of tour dates below.

English Teacher’s 2025 UK headline tour dates are:

NOVEMBER
13 – Rock City, Nottingham
18 – NX, Newcastle
19 – Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow
20 – Albert Hall, Manchester
22 – O2 Academy, Leeds
25 – The Roundhouse, London [NEW]
26 – The Roundhouse, London

The upcoming tour from English Teacher comes following a massive 12 months for the band. This included sharing their critically acclaimed album ‘This Could Be Texas’. The record earned a glowing five-star review from NME and later bagged the Number Three spot on our 50 best albums of 2024 list. Their track ‘Albert Road’ was also named the sixth-best song of the year.

It also went on to win the prestigious Mercury Prize award last year – beating off competition from Beth Gibbons, CMAT, Charli XCX and more. The victory marked the first Mercury Prize to be won by a non-London act since Edinburgh’s Young Fathers took home the trophy in 2014.

Alongside the upcoming headline shows, the band will also be making a huge number of festival appearances, including slots at Rock For People, The Great Escape, Isle Of Wight, Forwards Festival, Green Man, Shaky Knees, BBC 6 Music Festival and more.

English Teacher will also be joining Fontaines D.C. for the latter’s show in Newcastle on July 13. It’ll see frontman Grian Chatten and co. headline the 10,000-capacity Exhibition Park, with support coming from the Leeds band. Visit here for tickets to all of their upcoming live shows.

Earlier this month, English Teacher spoke about the upcoming slot with Fontaines and told NME that they would “love to” work with the band in the future. They also gave insight into new material, suggesting that some new songs should be finding their way into the setlists for the upcoming headline shows.

“Expect new songs… we’ll write them in time for that!” guitarist Lewis Whiting said on the BRITs red carpet. Bassist Nicholas Eden added: “We are writing, but it’s individual at the minute. We’ll get together in the next week or so and throw our stuff at each other.”

Their comments follow on from further hints at new material the members shared in a separate interview with NME in 2024. Here, Whiting said that English Teacher had “got some writing” to do in between their support shows with IDLES and their 2024 UK headline tour last November. Bassist Nicholas Eden also teased a new song, describing it as “an amalgamation of every single track on this [first] album”.

They have already begun dropping hints of new material with fans too, playing a new track called ‘Billboards’ on tour last year.
