Heather Graham to Star in ‘Entity Within’ Based on the Real Haunting that Inspired ‘The Entity’

Heather Graham (Boogie Nights) will play Doris Bither in Entity Within, based on one of the most documented supernatural cases in U.S. history, Deadline reports.

Set in 1974 suburban Los Angeles, a single mother is violently attacked by an unseen force in her home. With no one believing her, she turns to a team of paranormal researchers.

Nick Simon (The Girl in the Photographs) directs from a script by Thomas Fenton (Saw IV). Steven Schneider (Insidious, Paranormal Activity) produces.

Mimi Rogers (Ginger Snaps), Morgan Peter Brown (Absentia), and Kevin Keppy (Smile) also star.

GVN Releasing is producing the film and is handling U.S. distribution, with Alliance Media Partners repping the film at the upcoming Cannes Market.

The Bither case previously inspired Frank De Felitta‘s 1978 book The Entity, which was adapted into the 1982 film of the same name starring Barbara Hershey.
