Charlie Cox Reveals the Injury He Suffered During DAREDEVIL's Iconic Hallway Fight
With Daredevil: Born Again now rolling out on Disney+, fans have enjoyed diving back into the gritty world of Hell’s Kitchen. But lets go back to the original Netflix series, where even the most celebrated moments came with a price.Charlie Cox recently opened up about the now-legendary hallway fight from Daredevil Season 1, Episode 2—the single-take slugfest that instantly became a genre-defining moment. In a GQ Action Replay interview with co-star Vincent D’Onofrio, Cox revealed something fans probably never noticed… he got hurt filming it.“We shot it very early on. It’s the end of Episode 2, but I was still playing catch up in terms of all of the stunts and getting used to doing some martial arts,” Cox said while breaking down the scene.He went on to explain how the one-shot setup of the fight, a beautifully brutal take that left no room for error, amplified the challenge.“I was not really in a position to do much of that particular fight because it all takes place as an oner [aka one-shot sequence]. In one of the early takes, I swung a punch and caught my little finger on the pole. I got injured in that fight scene.”It’s just a little detail that some fans might be interested in The hallway brawl was a technical flexit that demanded real blood, sweat, and busted fingers.Now, nearly a decade later, Cox is back in the role of Daredevil for Born Again, and fans are once again enjoy what it’s delivering.
