Heart Attack Man on how Hole, CKY, Pavement, Type O Negative & more influenced their new LP

Cleveland punk band Heart Attack Man‘s new album Joyride the Pale Horse comes out this Friday (4/25), and ahead of its release, vocalist Eric Egan checked in with BrooklynVegan from a windy Walmart parking lot in Parma, Ohio to tell us about the core influences behind each of the 12 songs on the album. He picked tracks by Hole, Motion City Soundtrack, The Offspring, Type O Negative, Descendents, Unwritten Law, The Distillers, Saves The Day, Pavement, Failure, None More Black, CKY, and the Bloodhound Gang, and he was as charismatic as ever as he dove into the ways in which each song he chose inspired the corresponding track on Joyride the Pale Horse. It’s a super fun watch and you can check out the video below to see what he had to say.

Heart Attack Man will support the album on a headlining tour with support from The Dirty Nil (who just announced a new album), Carpool (who released one of last year’s best punk albums), and Dear Seattle. It begins on June 4 in Pittsburgh and hits the NYC-area on June 11 at Amityville Music Hall and June 13 at The Meadows. All dates are listed below.
