“Bridgerton” Actress Phoebe Dynevor Joins Jake Gyllenhaal In M. Night Shyamalan/Nicholas Sparks Thriller

Phoebe Dynevor (“Bridgerton,” Fair Play) is in negotiations to star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in M. Night Shyamalan‘s upcoming next film.

Rumored to be titled Remain, the supernatural romance thriller is based on a story Shyamalan co-created with bestselling novelist Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook, A Walk to Remember).

Plot details are being kept under wraps per usual, but Shyamalan and Sparks are independently writing a screenplay and a novel, respectively. Both projects are based on the same concept and set of characters but tailored to their respective mediums.

Shyamalan and Ashwin Rajan will produce for Blinding Edge Pictures alongside Sparks’ longtime producing partner Theresa Park and Marc Bienstock. Sparks serves as executive producer.

Warner Bros., who has a first-look deal with Blinding Edge and put out Shyamalan’s Trap last year, is in discussions to distribute.
